i think cutting family members who have hurt and traumatized you out of your life is very fun and fresh and sexy and i think that people who says things like “family is family” or question people for their choice to do something like that have no understanding of just how bad it can be

i don’t get people who think we should just take this storyline as straightforward as possible and not read into it any more than that. like, subtle storytelling is an important part of wrestling, and dean and seth are two of the absolute best at it. they’ve both put so much time and effort into crafting these complex, flawed, relatable characters and making their relationship feel real and nuanced and emotionally compelling. and it would such a disservice to them and their story to just perceive this as a simple case of dean turning on seth out of purely selfish reasons, instead of considering all the circumstances and the complicated emotions and history between them. this story definitely isn’t close to simple or straightforward. it’s layered and complex and difficult and painful. and i wouldn’t expect anything less with them. so just let it be that.
