Naito doesn’t want Hiromu to be sad, so he is going along with it.

#i am sad but at the same time………this is so sweet and it makes my heart warm #i love that it’s so important to naito that hiromu is okay #beneath his aloof persona naito really cares for hiromu #that’s something i love about naito #he’s not just a jerk for no reason #he’s actually pretty pissed at everyone in njpw bc he feels like they abandoned him #so anyone else who feels like a misfit #he’s really understanding and sympathetic towards #so they can all act out against what makes them feel that way together#like that’s apparently a huge reason for naito’s popularity in japan #a lot of young people feel the same way towards institutions in their own life #so they feel a kinship with naito #so naito going along with hiromu pretending darryl is there really fits who he is #but also it makes me sad bc hiromu is just so lost and upset and naito doesn’t really know how to help him feel better #so he will make sure that hiromu doesn’t feel alone (via dykepatton)

naito didn’t understand the cat. he really, really didn’t. but fuck, if hiromu was going to treat a stuffed animal like a treasured ally, naito wasn’t about to get in his way. los ingobernables stuck together through thick and thin- even when ‘thick’ was hamming it up with a lazy-looking stuffed toy.
making Daryl happy- and fuck, his little brother named his stuffed toys, that was as cute as it was weird– made hiromu happy made naito happy, so it was all good. it was no skin off his nose to fist-bump a plush cat or turn a blind eye after tough losses when hiromu would bury his face in Daryl’s squishy body so no one could see his eyes get glassy.
it was weird, sure, but it wasn’t hard– and they were all a little weird, anyway. anyone who wanted to judge hiromu for being a little weirdo would have to get through naito first, and naito was a hell of a brick wall when his family needed him.
